Laboratory-Sized Disc Mill

Designed for research and development studies and scientific/academic work, the modular-designed Labstar™ achieves any range of size reduction results through interchangeable agitations systems and materials of construction.

The Labstar™ is convertible between the proven NETZSCH TriNEx™ disc system for discrete pass milling and the ZETA™ peg agitation system for circulation milling. Different grinding chamber materials such as polyurethane, ceramic and stainless steel guarantee product compatibility for a wide range of applications.

The Labstar™ also includes the patented slotted rotor pipe separation system that keeps the grinding media as small as 0.1 mm in the grinding chamber. The mechanical design of the classifying rotor centrifuges the grinding beads from the product and returns them into the grinding zone.

The standard Labstar™ control system captures all of the necessary technical data for scientific measurements and for scale-up to production-sized machines. Actual values such as agitator speed, product pressure, and product temperature are displayed and can be transmitted from the control panel for data acquisition.
