CONDUX® Universal Mill CUM Operating Principle

[ Back to CONDUX Universal Mill CUM ]

The Universal Mill allows a selection of four different rotating tools and numerous stationary elements. Depending upon the material to be processed and the desired end product fineness, these interchangeable tools provide optimal grinding results.

Wing Beater:
The Wing Beater is a fixed-arm impact tool. The stationary element contains either a screen or a combination screen/grinding track. Finished product fineness from d97=500 µm to less than d97=100µm.
Blast Rotor:
The Blast Rotor is a very aggressive fixed-blade rotor that produces high energy and high air flow. A screen or screen/grinding track combination controls the outlet particle size to d97=50 µm.
Pin Disc:
The Pin Disc is an aggressive high speed grinding tool utilizing intermeshing pins to produce impact. Counter rotating discs are also available on larger mills. Finished product fineness to d97=30 µm can be achieved
Grinding Discs:
The Grinding Discs are a pair of serrated plates used to pulverize different materials by shear. Particle size to d97=400 µm is controlled by adjusting the gap between the discs.
Optional Stators:
• Screen Insert
• Conidur Screen Insert
• Fine Grinding Track With Screen
• Coarse Grinding Track With Screen
• Fine Grinding Track With Discharge Gap
• Coarse Grinding Track With Discharge Gap
