MiniVac
[ Back to Laboratory Equipment ]

A vacuum deaerator for small batches or primary trials.

The MiniVac was developed for small batches or primary trials. Like its big brother, the NETZSCH Vacuum Deaerator, MiniVac utilizes the VTR principle (Vacuum thin-film Rotation Principle). With the MiniVac, micronized gases and trapped air are removed from liquids, pastes, and masses having a wide range of viscosities.

The machine is capable of operating continuously without a feed pump. The throughput ranges from 25 to 250 kg/h. The MiniVac is exemplified by its streamlined operation. The vessel position is adjustable, simplifying cleaning and maintenance.

The laboratory MiniVac system is suitable for products in the food, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, paint or chemical industries.

Technology:

  • The product is sucked into the vacuum chamber and transported to the center of a rotating bowl
  • A thin product film is spread over the rotating bowl, which is continuously deaerated
  • The centrifugal force carries the product to the bowl's circumference where it is discharged via a pick-up pipe
  • The product’s residence time in the deaerating chamber is controlled by valves and non-return valves
